Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger has finally found its leads in Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph!
The coming-of-age series is based on the Marvel superhero-duo who have appeared in multiple comics, such as X-Men and Spiderman.
Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph) are two teenagers who come from very different backgrounds. The two are burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers while falling in love. Tandy possesses the ability to emit light daggers, whereas Tyrone has the ability to engulf others in darkness.
Cloak and Dagger was originally announced in April 2016 as a straight-to-series drama on Freeform. The series is co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios.
Joe Pokaski (Underground, Heroes) will serve as showrunner and executive producer along with Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s head of Television) and Jim Chory, who will serve as executive producers.
“Marvel is delighted to have found our ‘Cloak & Dagger.’ Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph encompass the true essence of the characters and we are excited for the audience to see them in these roles,” said Jeph Loeb, head of Marvel Television and executive producer.
Additional details and cast members will be announced at a later date.
