As Eleanor Shellstrop would say, about forking time! Season 2 of NBC’s The Good Place returns and promises more peculiar episodes filled with laughs.
The series follows Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell), an ordinary woman who enters the afterlife and, thanks to some kind of error, is sent to the Good Place instead of the Bad Place, which is definitely where she belongs. While hiding in plain sight from Michael (Ted Danson), the wise architect of the Good Place (who doesn’t know he’s made a mistake), she’s determined to shed her old way of living and discover the awesome (or, at least, the pretty good) person within.
Helping Eleanor navigate her new surroundings are Chidi, her kind, open-hearted “soul mate” who sees the good in people but finds himself facing quite a dilemma; her seemingly perfect new neighbors, Tahani and Jianyu; and Janet, the go-to source for any and all information in the Good Place.
SEASON ONE SPOILER ALERT BELOW
The second season will be interesting as when we last saw the fab four, they had just learned they actually landed in the Bad Place rather than the Good Place. After their discovery, Michael wipes their memories and hits the reset button on their Good Place memories so they will have to experience the place yet again and allowing Michael to continue perfecting their lives a living hell. So essentially the majority of Season 1 has become irrelevant, however, our lead girl Eleanor will be on a mission after leaving herself a message to “Find Chidi”.
Starring Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars), Ted Danson (CSI), William Jackson Harper (Paterson), Manny Jacinto (The Romeo Section) and D’Arcy Carden (Broad City).
