Snatch, the new TV series loosely based on Guy Ritchie’s 2000 film of the same name, which starred Brad Pitt and Benicio Del Toro.
The TV series doesn’t follow the same story, but attempts to capture the spirit and style of the film. The 10-episode series follows a new gang of hustlers (played by Rupert Grint and Luke Pasqualino) and new villains (Ed Westwick and Dougray Scott).
Inspired by a real life heist in London, “Snatch,” centers on a group of twenty-something, up and coming hustlers who stumble upon a truck load of stolen gold bullion and are suddenly thrust into the high-stakes world of organized crime. The boys must quickly learn to navigate the treacherous waters of London’s underworld as rogue cops, gypsy fighters, international mobsters and local villains descend.
Snatch stars Rupert Grint, Ed Westwick, Lucien Laviscount, Stephanie Leonidas and Marc Warren.
The series premieres March 16th on the free streaming service, Crackle.
